1. Solana Dominance (SOLDOM) — Short, Closed
Entry: 2.3333 · Exit: 2.2500 · 100x · +356.9%

The Setup:
2.34 held SOLDOM three times before this week, and it last traded there on 31 January. SOLDOM ran up through it on Thursday, then spent three days either side of the price without settling above it. The hourly candle closed through 2.34 at 20:00 UTC on Sunday 30 August, and with no level left in reach to rest an order at, this one was market opened after that close, at 2.3333.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 2.34, right back above the level that gave way. Reclaim it and the breakdown never happened; there is nothing left to be short against. That is 0.2884% above entry, 28.84% of collateral at 100x. The trade ran 0.151% offside at its worst, about half the distance to the stop, thirteen minutes into the hold. Liquidation sits at 2.3543.
The Exit:
Take-profit rested at 2.25, a round number SOLDOM has worked before: it held there in April 2025, and SOLDOM was trading at it again on 27 August when this window opened. It filled at 18:30 UTC on Tuesday 1 September, 12.37R off the stop.
What It Paid:
100x rides on a 0.2884% stop. Move +3.57%. Net +356.9%. A stop-out would have cost 28.84% of collateral. 12.37R. Held 1d 23h.
Takeaway:
Three prior holds don’t tell you when a level breaks, only that the break means something once it does; a 0.2884% stop was enough room to size that at 100x.

2. BNB Dominance (BNBDOM) — Long, Closed
Entry: 3.4900 · Exit: 3.6100 · 25x · +86.0%

The Setup:
3.49 was marked long before price got near it, which is why this one rested as a limit instead of chasing the move. It has been traded both sides of since September 2025, a high once and a low once, and BNBDOM was back at it on 22 August: a price the market has been unable to leave alone for a year. The limit long was left there and filled at 09:22 UTC on Monday 31 August.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 3.45, the prior week’s low, and a price BNBDOM has held and been trading around since September 2025. Below the prior week’s low, the long is buying into a market printing lower lows, and the reason for the trade is gone. Distance 1.1461% below entry, putting 28.65% of collateral at risk at 25x. This one was never close: 0.175% offside at the worst, about a seventh of the way to the stop. Liquidation sits at 3.3539.
The Exit:
Take-profit rested at 3.61, a price BNBDOM has spent most of the past year beneath and has been on both sides of since September 2025. It filled at 11:31 UTC on Thursday 3 September, three days after entry. 3R off the stop.
What It Paid:
25x sits behind a 1.1461% stop. Move +3.44%. Net +86.0%. A stop-out would have cost 28.65% of collateral. 3R. Held 3d 2h.
Takeaway:
A price traded both sides of for a year is where a limit order belongs, not a market open; this one sat three days before 3.61 came back to pay it.

3. Ethereum Dominance (ETHDOM) — Short, Closed
Entry: 11.3404 · Exit: 11.2600 · 150x · +106.4%

The Setup:
The fastest and the largest position of the set. ETHDOM closed the hour through 11.36 at 22:00 UTC on Sunday 30 August, and the position was market opened after that close, at 11.3404. 11.36 has been traded both sides of since January 2025, a high and a low, and it was still in play on 27 August. A level with history on both sides gives a tight invalidation, which is the reason this one carries the size it does.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 11.36. Above it, ETHDOM has taken back the level the short was sold beneath and the break is undone. Distance 0.1724% above entry, 17 basis points, costing 25.86% of collateral at 150x. This is the one that ran closest: 0.126% offside two minutes after the fill, most of the way to the stop, before it resolved. Liquidation sits at 11.4047.
The Exit:
Take-profit rested at 11.26, which has rejected ETHDOM five times and was in play again on 26 August. It filled 1h 25m later, at 23:25 UTC. 4.11R off the stop.
What It Paid:
17 basis points of stop is what buys 150x here. Move +0.71%. Net +106.4%. A stop-out would have cost 25.86% of collateral. 4.11R. Held 1h 25m.
Takeaway:
A level worked from both directions is what a tight stop is built on; 17 basis points carried 150x to +106.4% in under ninety minutes.

4. Tether Dominance (USDTDOM) — Long, Closed
Entry: 6.9843 · Exit: 7.1300 · 15x · +31.3%

The Setup:
6.98 has held USDTDOM twice this year and was still being traded around on 26 August. USDTDOM closed the hour through it at 23:00 UTC on Monday 31 August, and the long was market opened after that close, at 6.9843. It did not resolve straight away: price came back under 6.98 for most of the following morning before it went.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 6.88, this week’s open, a price USDTDOM traded at on four separate days in late August. Below the level the week opened at, the breakout stops being a breakout, and the long has nothing left to hold it up. Distance 1.4927% below entry, putting 22.39% of collateral at risk at 15x. Worst drawdown 0.856% from entry, a little over half the room to the stop. Liquidation sits at 6.5256.
The Exit:
Take-profit rested at 7.13, a price that has held USDTDOM twice since February and was back in play on 23 August. It filled at 18:44 UTC on Tuesday 1 September. 1.4R off the stop, the nearest target here, and it is what the structure above entry offered.
What It Paid:
The smallest size in this set, and a 1.4927% stop is what bought the room to sit through the drawdown. Move +2.09%. Net +31.3%. A stop-out would have cost 22.39% of collateral. 1.4R. Held 19h 44m.
Takeaway:
A breakout is allowed to come back and retest before it goes; 0.856% offside never got close to 6.88, and that is the whole argument for a 1.4927% stop.

5. Bitcoin Dominance (BTCDOM) — Short, Open
Entry: 60.0100 · Still open · 30x

The Setup:
The limit short was left at 60.01 and filled at 01:00 UTC on Friday 28 August. 60.01 has rejected BTCDOM seven times since February 2025, and BTCDOM was trading at it again on 26 August, the day before this window opened. It is the most worked level in the edition, and the order was resting there for that reason and no other.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 60.34, the next level up, which has rejected BTCDOM five times and was in play as recently as 21 August. Through 60.34, BTCDOM has reclaimed the price this was sold at and cleared the one above it, and the thesis is wrong. Distance 0.5499% above entry, costing 16.50% of collateral at 30x. Worst drawdown 0.291% from entry, a little over half the way to the stop. Liquidation sits at 61.9803.
Still Open Rationale:
The move was given back and the position survived it. BTCDOM traded down to 59.6305 on Sunday 30 August, then came all the way back through 60.01 and ran to 60.185 on Monday 31 August before turning lower again. The stop is still where it started, at 60.34, and it was never reached. Nothing has been moved to breakeven: an order resting at 60.01 would have been taken out on the way back up, and the position would be flat instead of running. What takes it off is the take-profit at 59.58, which has rejected BTCDOM three times and was being traded around on 24 August, or the original invalidation at 60.34, which would cost 16.50% of collateral.
Takeaway:
A position that gives the whole move back and does not hit its stop is still a working position; moving the stop up to entry would have converted a live short into nothing.

Retrospective and illustrative only. Every trade shown here was selected after the fact, with full knowledge of how the week resolved. These are hypothetical results chosen in hindsight to illustrate the range of setups that dominance pairs produce in a single week. They are not a track record, not a representation of actual trading, and not a representation that any account did or would achieve these results.
Entries and exits are drawn from prices that printed during the stated window, but no fill is guaranteed to have been obtainable at any particular size, and the figures exclude trading fees, funding, slippage and price impact. Returns are expressed as a percentage of collateral at the stated leverage; leveraged positions carry a risk of total loss, and a position can be liquidated by an adverse move well short of the levels shown.
