1. Ethereum Dominance (ETHDOM) — Long, Closed
Entry: 10.5790 · Exit: 11.45 · 40x · +329.3%

The Setup:
This was the one that paid to get in rather than waiting for a fill. 10.57 had rejected ETHDOM seven times since February 2025, most recently on 12 August, so a limit resting under it would have filled on nothing more than another approach that could have failed like the last seven. The trigger was the hourly candle closing through 10.57, confirmed Wednesday 19 August at 07:00 UTC, and the long was market opened after that close, at 10.5790.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 10.51, the level the break came from: it rejected ETHDOM four times between March and 22 July. 0.6525% below entry, risking 26.10% of collateral at 40x. Back under 10.51 the break has failed into the range it came from, and there is nothing left to be long against. Worst drawdown was 0.453% from entry, at 10.5311, about two-thirds of the way to the stop. Liquidation sits at 10.3251.
The Exit:
Take-profit rested at 11.45, a level ETHDOM has traded both sides of four times between January 2025 and April 2026, 12.62R off the stop. It filled at 21:04 UTC the same day.
What It Paid:
A 0.6525% stop is what supports 40x here. Move +8.23%. Net +329.3%. A stop-out would have cost 26.10% of collateral. 12.62R. Held 14h 4m.
Takeaway:
A level that has rejected a market seven times is not one to rest an order under; it is one to wait on and pay to get past once it finally breaks.

2. Tether Dominance (USDTDOM) — Short, Closed
Entry: 8.36 · Exit: 7.56 · 25x · +239.2%

The Setup:
The limit short was left at 8.36, because the level was already marked long before price got there: 8.36 had been in play for USDTDOM three times since February, most recently on 10 July. It filled Monday 17 August at 17:25 UTC, to the tick.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 8.45, this week’s open. 1.0766% above entry, which puts 26.92% of collateral at risk at 25x. Back above the week’s open, the breakdown is no breakdown at all: USDTDOM has taken back everything it lost and the short has nothing left to argue for it. Worst drawdown was 0.540% from entry, at 8.4051, about half the distance to the stop. Liquidation sits at 8.6860.
The Exit:
Take-profit rested at 7.56, a level USDTDOM held five times between March and the end of May and had not traded back to since, 8.89R off the stop. It filled at 08:54 UTC on Thursday 20 August.
What It Paid:
A 1.0766% stop supports 25x on this one. Move +9.57%. Net +239.2%. A stop-out would have cost 26.92% of collateral. 8.89R. Held 2d 15h.
Takeaway:
A level already in play three times is worth resting an order at and worth the wait; this one took the better part of three days to pay.

3. BNB Dominance (BNBDOM) — Short, Closed
Entry: 3.76 · Exit: 3.55 · 25x · +139.6%

The Setup:
3.76 had rejected BNBDOM three times since March, most recently on 1 June, so the limit short was left at 3.76 instead of chased. It filled Friday 14 August at 02:57 UTC.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 3.80, a level that has rejected BNBDOM three times going back to December 2025 and was last traded on 12 August. 1.0638% above entry, costing 26.60% of collateral at 25x. Through 3.80 the level doing the rejecting has stopped working, and the reason for the short goes with it. Worst drawdown was 0.630% from entry, at 3.7837, a little under two-thirds of the way to the stop. Liquidation sits at 3.9066.
The Exit:
Take-profit rested at 3.55, a level BNBDOM has traded both sides of four times between September 2025 and 4 July, 5.25R off the stop. It filled at 19:32 UTC on Wednesday 19 August.
What It Paid:
A 1.0638% stop is what carries 25x here. Move +5.59%. Net +139.6%. A stop-out would have cost 26.60% of collateral. 5.25R. Held 5d 17h.
Takeaway:
Three rejections at the same price over five months is a level worth shorting into again, not a coincidence to wait out.

4. Solana Dominance (SOLDOM) — Long, Closed
Entry: 2.07 · Exit: 2.12 · 24x · +58.0%

The Setup:
The limit long sat at 2.07 rather than paying up for it, since 2.07 had been in play for SOLDOM three times since March, most recently on 30 June. It filled Wednesday 19 August at 13:02 UTC.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 2.05, a level SOLDOM has traded both sides of five times since February, as recently as 12 August. 0.9662% below entry, risking 23.19% of collateral at 24x. Below 2.05, the support the long was bought above is gone, and so is the reason to hold it. Worst drawdown was 0.546% from entry, at 2.0587, a little over half the way to the stop. Liquidation sits at 1.9858.
The Exit:
Take-profit rested at 2.12, a level that rejected SOLDOM twice in the spring, 2.5R off the stop. It filled at 21:07 UTC that same evening.
What It Paid:
A 0.9662% stop supports 24x here. Move +2.42%. Net +58.0%. A stop-out would have cost 23.19% of collateral. 2.5R. Held 8h 5m.
Takeaway:
The fill and the target were both marked before the trade ever opened; once the order filled, there was nothing left to decide.

5. Bitcoin Dominance (BTCDOM) — Long, Closed
Entry: 59.11 · Exit: 59.53 · 44x · +31.3%

The Setup:
59.11 has traded both sides of BTCDOM four times going back to January 2025, most recently on 14 June, so the limit long was left at 59.11 instead of paying up for the move. It filled Tuesday 18 August at 22:14 UTC.
Trade Management:
Stop-loss set at 58.82, this week’s open. 0.4906% below entry, putting 21.59% of collateral at risk at 44x. Under the week’s open the long has given back the level it was bought above, and the week is going the other way. Worst drawdown was 0.265% from entry, at 58.9531, a little over half the way to the stop. Liquidation sits at 57.7961.
The Exit:
Take-profit rested at 59.53, a level that rejected BTCDOM four times between November 2025 and 7 August, 1.45R off the stop. It filled at 15:28 UTC on Wednesday 19 August.
What It Paid:
A stop this tight, 0.4906%, is what a 44x position needs under it. Move +0.71%. Net +31.3%. A stop-out would have cost 21.59% of collateral. 1.45R. Held 17h 14m.
Takeaway:
A 0.4906% stop is what paid for 44x and a 1.45R target; tight risk is what makes leverage work, not a promise of a bigger move.

Retrospective and illustrative only. Every trade shown here was selected after the fact, with full knowledge of how the week resolved. These are hypothetical results chosen in hindsight to illustrate the range of setups that dominance pairs produce in a single week. They are not a track record, not a representation of actual trading, and not a representation that any account did or would achieve these results.
Entries and exits are drawn from prices that printed during the stated window, but no fill is guaranteed to have been obtainable at any particular size, and the figures exclude trading fees, funding, slippage and price impact. Returns are expressed as a percentage of collateral at the stated leverage; leveraged positions carry a risk of total loss, and a position can be liquidated by an adverse move well short of the levels shown.
